I'm Maria, and I founded M-KAE six years ago. Starting my own clothing company has always been a lifelong dream. Growing up, my dad worked in the textile industry, and I was captivated by the diverse fabrics, patterns, and silhouettes from a young age. After completing my design studies, I decided to turn my dream into reality by creating M-KAE. My vision was to design timeless pieces that can be worn season after season and easily paired with other items in your wardrobe. In addition to running M-KAE, I'm a mom to two girls (soon to be three), so I strive to find a balance between being a devoted mother and pursuing my passion.

Honestly, it’s challenging. Balancing work and motherhood, especially with two small girls, is tough. Fortunately, my partner is incredibly supportive, helping out with both the kids and M-KAE. We make a great team, both at home and in business. We know it will be even more challenging with a third daughter on the way, but I’m confident that we’ll figure it out together.

My personal style is the foundation of every piece I design for M-KAE. I create what I would love to wear myself—classic basics with a unique twist, all in a neutral color palette. For me, timeless classics are key.

M-KAE MINI was born when I had my first daughter, Kelly, 2.5 years ago. I wanted to create matching outfits for us, so I began designing mini versions of our classic pieces. I think it's absolutely adorable!

I’ve been surprised by how tough it is and how much hard work it takes. Nothing comes easily, and I’m a firm believer in that. Sometimes I wish my followers and M-KAE customers could see how much time, effort, and thought we put into making everything happen.

My ambitions for the brand are to continue evolving while staying true to our core values of creating classic, timeless pieces. I want M-KAE to be known not just for its quality and design but also for its ability to transcend trends, offering pieces that become wardrobe staples for years to come. I want M-KAE to be a brand that people trust for its authenticity, craftsmanship, and ability to make them feel confident and stylish every day.
